Athena Stonecare are leading specialists in natural stone restoration in the south of England.

The Scope
Athena Stonecare were undergoing a website redesign with our partner agency Webshape Design with the aim of improving its brand perception and driving new sales inquiries online.

We were approached by Athena Stonecare to ensure that their new website launched with the best SEO foundations in place to help it begin ranking for relevant search terms that would drive new sales inquiries.

Our Strategy

To ensure Athena Stonecare’s new website launched successfully in Google, we conducted an SEO Setup that begins with an audit of the existing site and competitors to understand how the new website should be structured for SEO purposes.

With keyword research at the core we lay out a new sitemap, with content recommendations, briefs to developers, and everything else that was needed to make their new site launch a success.

Our Approach

As Athena Stonecare operates a specialist service a deep-dive into keyword and competitor research was essential to uncover what their ideal clients were searching for in Google to find stone care companies. This uncovered the core keywords that their site should target.

With this in hand we lay out the sitemap for their new website, specifying the new pages that were required, best practice URL structures, and began creating new content for these pages.

We then wrote optimised meta titles, meta descriptions, and page headings for the entire site aswell as briefing ideal page layouts so the web designers were aware of key features and content the site should include to drive on-page engagement.

With the final site draft at the ready we create a redirection map that ensured the launch of the new site would not cause any 404 or redirect errors which would lead to a loss in rankings.

Communicating directly with the development team on launch day was the final step that helped the site go live without impacting SEO, whilst ensuring all of our SEO foundations were in place for future growth.

As part of our SEO Setup we configured goal tracking for key converting actions throughout the Athena Stonecare and implemented this in their performance dashboard so they could keep a close eye on how organic traffic was driving new sales inquiries.
