LOVESPACE was one of the UK’s first storage by-the-box services, and has grown to become one of the leading nationwide storage and removals companies.

LOVESPACE has a substantial share in the student market thanks to being the first storage by-the-box service to market. However, they wanted to grow their online business in support of their new storage units service for customers with bulkier items that won’t fit in a box. That meant a new audience and a new set of search terms to rank for in Google.

Brick Digital outlined an Organic search marketing strategy, designed to increase their rankings and traffic in time for their 2 peak seasons when their traffic typically triples. We also re-established LOVESPACE as the go-to student storage service in the Google search results.

Our Strategy

Having audited the LOVESPACE website, analysed their competitors and gained a deep understanding of the search terms, we outlined a multifaceted SEO strategy to increase Organic rankings and traffic that required a tremendous amount of onsite work and improvements. There was also the opportunity to include a Local SEO strategy, which had been overlooked by competitors. A link building strategy was also incorporated to regain the student storage rankings.

Our Approach

Because there were so many parts to this campaign, we structured all of the tasks into a monthly roadmap. This allowed us to prioritise the quick wins and generate new Organic traffic growth each month by coordinating our efforts with the LOVESPACE team to redevelop, redesign and roll out onsite improvements by page type.

Our recommendations included improved content and design for usability, trust signals including lifestyle imagery and clearer Calls To Action to help increase conversion. This was then followed by new navigation structures of internal linking to the individual pages for UX and SEO.

The onsite work was supported by 2 link building campaigns, which helped to improve rankings in the long term and in time to reap the rewards of position #1 rankings during LOVESPACE’s seasonal peaks.

To improve user engagement, we assisted LOVESPACE in redesigning their website to be faster, more user friendly and have all the right trust signals to make new customers more likely to convert.

Thanks to a combination of Brick Digital’s insightful SEO Strategy and LOVESPACE’s brilliant web designers, the current LOVESPACE website looks very different from the website we started with – And it ranks brilliantly too.
